Gravel? Yup. Road? Of course. Travel? Why not all three. The GRT (grit), is our ultra versatile, go anywhere, gravel bike. Choose 700c or 27.5″ wheels; rigid or suspension fork; road or mountain drivetrains; flat, drop, or custom touring bar… it’s all good. Toss in some extra bottle, rack, and anywhere mounts and you’ve got an adventure.

AL’s GRT. I originally selected this build for NAHBS because it highlights the benefits of custom. AL is 5ft tall with relatively short legs for her height. She wanted a gravel/touring bike for some upcoming tours, one of which occurs during the rescheduled August show. The build is a mix of GRX800, GRX600 and Ultegra: GRX600 cranks because they are available in 165mm; Ultegra shifters because they come in a ‘small hands’ version. We selected 650b wheels to eliminate toe overlap without slackening the steering angle excessively. The rest of the build includes: PRO bar, stem and post; Bombtrack fork; Brooks saddle and bar tape; Cane Creek headset; Astral Wanderlust wheels with Astal hubs manufactured by White Industries; Panaracer tires.
